Ordering a Firearm or any serial numbered part- Any serialized part is a firearm and must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). To have an item shipped to your FFL dealer have them E-mail (transfers@elementarms.com), Fax (763-262-3053), or mail a valid copy of their license to us referencing your order number or name.
Out of Stock Items - If an item is out of stock you can choose to be notified when it arrives in stock again by clicking the "Notify me when this product becomes available".
Back Orders - In the unfortunate event that your order cannot be filled immediately; we will notify you by E-mail and maintain your order until it is able to be filled or processed. Where is my order?- Once an order has been shipped, you tracking information will be sent to your e-mail. In the event that you do not receive the tracking information, the tracking information can be checked by logging into your account on the store. Please allow 1-3 days for processing. How do I fill out an ATF Form 1 for SBR's? Disclaimer: This is only an aid to assist in filling out an ATF Form 1 by a person wishing to assemble an NFA qualified firearm on their own under the ownership of a Firearm Trust. Remember, I am not a lawyer and I'm especially not your lawyer. If you are unsure about whether you can legally own NFA firearms, consult a local attorney.
Ok, now that we got that out of the way, let's get this paperwork done and give the .gov some more money to waste. First is a scan of a sample Form 1 that I filled out and scanned. You can CLICK HERE for the ATF Form 1 that you can complete and print from your browser.
Remember that this example assumes that you have created a Firearm Trust for the creation, management, and ownership of your Class 3 weapons. If you need a Trust, contact a lawyer or a reputable Class 3 dealer in your area for assistance.
Now let's break down each box that needs to be completed. Any box not listed in this walk through should be left blank as it does not apply to those filling by way of a Firearm Trust.
Section 1. 1. Type of Application: Tax Paid. You are not an exempt government or law enforcement agency. You must pay the $200 tax stamp.
Section 2. 2. Application is made by: Corporation or Other Business Entity. Your Firearm Trust is consider an Other Business Entity. Do not select individual unless you are doing so with a Chief LEO sign off, fingerprints, photograph, and without a Trust.
Section 3. 3b. Applicant's Name and Mailing Address: Enter the full name of your Firearm Trust, along with your address that the weapon will be stored at and the stamp will be received at. Put your physical address. If you wish to receive the stamp at your P.O Box, you must then put your physical address the weapon will be stored at in box 3c. 3d. County: The county in which your physical address resides. 3e. Telephone Area Code and Number: I hope you know this one.
Section 4. 4a. Name and Location of Original Manufacturer of Firearm (Receiver): You are not the original maker of the lower receiver that you are turning into an SBR. 4b. Type of Firearm to be made: Short Barrel Rifle. Spell it out, do not use acronyms like SBR, SBS, etc. 4c. Caliber, Gauge or Size (Specify): Whatever caliber will be the default intended purpose of this weapon the first time you assemble it must be put here. This is the caliber it must go to bed being able to fire. 4d. Model: Write down the model designation found on the lower receiver. 4e. Length Of Barrel (inches): This is the length of the barrel measured from the bolt face to the muzzle. 4f. Length Overall (inches): This is the length of the weapon from the bare muzzle to the rear of the buttstock, with the buttstock unfolded and/or extended. Do not measure with a flash hider or buttpad attached, unless they are permanently installed. 4g. Serial Number: Write down the existing serial number on the receiver. Again, you are not the original maker of the receiver. 4h. Additional Description: Fill in the full name of your Firearm Trust, along with the City and State that your weapon will be created/stored at. This is the additional information you will have engraved on your lower receiver by a qualified engraver or gunsmith. Whomever does the work must have an FFL in order to receive the property. You can have the engraving done now. If you wait for the stamp to come back first, then you will need a Class 3 FFL to do your engraving. 4i. State Why You Intend To Make Firearm: Just state a legal reason to possess the weapon. Don't go crazy by putting something like "to kill zombies in close quarters". That will just make the reviewer want to slow down your application. 4j. Is this firearm being reactivated: No. A reactivated firearm would be an old item that was made inoperable for non-lethal purposes but the owner now wants to make it operational again.
Section 7. 7. Signature of Applicant: Obviously, you wait until after you've printed the Form 1 before you can even sign it. Sign your name after you print it.
Section 8. 8. Name and Title of Authorized Official of Firm or Corporation: Put your full name that is found in the title of your Firearm Trust, followed by a comma and the word "Trustee" to designate your position within your Trust.
Section 9. 9. Date: The date you printed and signed the Form 1.
Section 10. 10a-f. Are you: No. Please make sure to read each question and answer honestly. If you answered yes to any of these questions, consult an attorney familiar with firearm ownership before proceeding.

Note: There is some debate on whether Section 10 & 11 must be filled out when filling as a Firearm Trust. Technically a business entity can't have a criminal record, etc, but it best to complete this area than to be declined by the reviewer for not doing so.
That's it. After that you print the form, sign it, write your check for $200, and mail it off to the address listed in the instructions sheet. Then you can wait 3-6 months to receive your stamp in the mail. Don't get too excited when you see the ATF cash your check within 10 days, the only thing they are fast about is taking your money.
